ALPHATEC SPINE

Presenter:  Carl Lauryssen, MD

Description:  Retroperitoneal Trans-Psoas Approach to the Lumbar Spine

Presenter:  Darrel Brodke, MD

Description:  This workshop involves hands-on experience with a new material offering the advantages of high strength, textured hydrophilic surface to promote bony apposition, and a bone-like appearance on x-ray, with no CT or MRI artifact.  Dr. Darrel Brodke of the University of Utah will present one-year follow-up data utilizing this innovative spacer in the spine.

Description:  AxiaLIF: Transacral Fixation – Indications and Outcomes Review

In this presentation, Dr. Larry Khoo will discuss the AxiaLIF technique, its various clinical applications, and present a clinical data review. 

The AxiaLIF system includes surgical instruments for creating a safe and reproducible pre-sacral access route to the L5-S1 vertebral bodies. The technique enables standard of care fusion principles, distraction and stabilization of the anterior lumbar column while mitigating the soft tissue trauma associated with traditional lumbar fusion approaches.
