Internship Program

The goal of our internship program is to offer opportunities for experience in a real-world medical setting to students and other individuals interested in pursuing a career in the health professions. In a geographic area that has minimal access to medical education, this will be accomplished by placing interns in local medical settings.

RMEC will support the mentoring of interns as they consider their future in medicine through access to many different types of clinical professionals, including physicians, clinical research coordinators and physician assistants. Guidance will be available to individuals looking to flourish in the medical field through assistance in developing a professional resume, creating a successful admissions application essay, applying to professional schools and job searching skills. Interns will be expected to spend a minimum of 10 hours per week at their placement. Most interns will be unpaid, but when funding allows, certain highly-qualified interns may earn up to $500 per month.
