Caitlyn McCullough received her graduate degree in Bioengineering from Stanford University and undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  With interests in emerging technologies, the regulatory process, and health policy, she is eager to dedicate her career towards advancing the goals of RMEC. While away from her desk, you’ll find her enjoying the outdoors through mountain biking and backcountry skiing.

Professor and Vice Chairman of the University of the Utah Department of Orthopaedics, Director of the Orthopaedic Spine Program, with a joint appointment in Neurosurgery.

Specializes in degenerative conditions and traumatic injuries of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. His primary clinical interests are cervical spine disorders and complex spine reconstruction.  Dr. Brodke’s research interests are in the area of spinal biomechanics. He received his M.D. at the University of California, San Francisco, completed an Orthopaedic residency at the University of Wisconsin and a Fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. He owned a two year private practice with the Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group from 1995-1997 and is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

Jim A. Youssef, MD

Fellowship-trained spine surgeon, which is the highest level of training for a spine surgeon in the United States. Specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, fracture care, complex spinal disorders and alternatives to bony fusion in spine surgery.   Dr Youssef is the co-founder of Spine Colorado, a multidisciplinary comprehensive facility, which focuses on the treatment of spinal disorders by combining the latest in non-operative and operative techniques. He completed his undergraduate degree in Genetics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1986. His doctor of medicine was achieved at University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in 1991. Dr. Youssef completed his internship in general surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1992 and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in 1996. His fellowship in spine surgery was completed at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in 1997.

Besides a busy clinical practice, Dr Youssef oversees an active research department. He has participated in several IDE/FDA clinical trials and has published his research in peer review journals. Such research activity allows Dr Youssef to remain on technology’s cutting edge and he consistently develops and applies novel methods to treat spinal disorders. Dr Youssef is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Cervical Spine Research Society, the Orthopedic Trauma Association, the American Medical Association, the Western Orthopaedic Association and AO/ASIF International Spine. He is an editor for several peer review journals. He is the co-founder of the Evidence & Technology Spine Summit and actively participates in teaching spine surgery courses.

Paul L. Gervais, CPA, MT, PFS, Principal, has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant since 1987. His practice emphasizes tax and financial planning strategies for high-income individuals, business income tax planning, estate tax planning, and management consulting services. Beginning in 1991, he has led the tax firm of Gervais & Associates from a sole practitioner CPA firm to a multi-office tax and financial planning specialty firm with 11 associates. Paul is the firm specialist on property transactions, business valuation and pass-through entity discounts, qualified retirement plans and estate and gift tax planning, and comprehensive financial strategies for high income individuals. He is the firm's expert concerning equity-based compensation, including incentive stock options, nonqualified stock options and restricted stock plans.

Paul increased his financial planning skills by fulfilling the AICPA's personal financial specialist certification requirements in 2001. As a PFS, Paul provides broader financial consulting to help clients achieve their financial dreams and goals. Developing estate plans, investment strategies, and education funding plans are just a few of the consulting areas enhanced by Paul's PFS designation. His education includes a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program and a B.A. in Accounting from Ft. Lewis College, Durango, Colorado. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the AICPA Tax Division, the AICPA Management Consulting Services Division and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
